Opportunity + Training + Initiative = Success

The mission of the McKendree University Career Services Office is to:
  • Give our students the opportunity to become actively involved in developing their career by providing a variety of training activities, programs, and services that support the goals of our students and McKendree University.
  • Encourage students to take initiative and be active in developing their career, using Career Services to help guide them towards success in a career and our society as a whole.
  • Help students understand that developing a career path is truly a life-long process.
Graduates from McKendree University work in a variety of settings after graduation, including large corporations, small businesses, schools, hospitals, government agencies, and non-profit organizations, among others. The Graduate Success Rate for the Class of 2009 is 95.5% for undergraduates and 98.9% for graduates, as determined through a survey distributed to all students before and after graduation. The survey results also found that 37.7% of students immediately continued their education by going on to graduate and professional schools in law, business, medicine, psychology, sociology, and communication, among others.
