Promote Your Business or Organization to Students at Involvement Fair on Aug. 25
7/28/2010

Lebanon, Ill. — Local businesses and organizations, would you like to market directly to hundreds of college students, many of whom are new to this area?

Limited openings are available for businesses to share information about their products or services at McKendree University’s Involvement Fair on Aug. 25. The event will be held outdoors on the campus quad on Wednesday, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (rain date Aug. 27).

“We encourage local businesses to participate to let our students—especially newcomers—know about options and opportunities that are available to them in the community,” said Craig Robertson, director of campus activities.

Exhibitors benefit from direct, informal access to hundreds of students and staff members, as well as networking opportunities for potential customers, volunteers or part-time student employees, Robertson added. They will also be included on the fair’s exhibitor’s list, which will be distributed to the entire campus.

For a $35 fee, participants may set up informational booths but are not permitted to sell goods or services. A six-foot table, two chairs, and an 8.5-by-11-sign will be provided for each exhibitor. They are encouraged to bring decorations such as tablecloths, banners or additional table signs; and promotional giveaway items or product samples.

“Anyone walking by could be a potential customer, maybe even an employee,” Robertson said.

The registration deadline is Aug. 9. To download a registration form, go to the website mckendree.edu, keyword: Involvement Fair. For questions, e-mail croberts@mckendree.edu or call 618-537-6856.
